This combined outline plan and redesignation application proposes an outline for the future subdivision and development of approximately 145 hectares of land in the community of Glacier Ridge. The application provides for: an anticipated 1500 dwelling units within low-density forms such as rowhouses, semi-detached dwellings and single detached dwellings (R-G) (R-Gm); an anticipated 860 dwelling units within multi-residential forms such as rowhouses and townhomes (M-G) (M-2); an anticipated 100 dwelling units within multi-residential buildings (e.g., apartment buildings) with the option for ground floor commercial uses (MU-1); approximately 9.92 hectares of public park space (S-SPR); the location and size of future public roads and public pathways; the location of major utilities and services. This application is being reviewed against applicable policies of the Glacier Ridge Area Structure Plan and Municipal Development Plan. An outline plan is a form of a detailed infrastructure plan for a specified area. An outline plan must be consistent with any community plan previously approved by City Council.
